The new Walt Disney World Resort roller coaster and ride called Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is opening to Disney World Guests on Friday, May 27, and journalist Scott Gustin has just revealed how much Disney Guests can expect to pay for tickets to the new attraction!
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has already been receiving positive reviews from Annual Passholders or Disney Vacation Club members who were allowed to try out the Disney thrill ride in advance, so anticipation has been high for the ride’s big opening day — and now questions about the logistics and pricing of the said ride are coming fast!
The ride takes place in the “Wonders of Xandar” Pavilion within the Disney Park called EPCOT, and it focuses on the planet of Xandar. Rocket the intergalactic raccoon is present, as are some of the other Guardians from the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers films.
The Guardians of the Galaxy are also making appearances and playing a big role in the new Thor movie, Thor: Love and Thunder, which comes to theaters in July!
The Walt Disney Company (which includes both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort) has come under fire in recent months due to rising prices for Disney Guests — particularly with Disney heiress Abigail Disney criticizing Disney’s CEO’s high salaries and exposing Cast Members’ low wages.
The shift to the Genie service and Genie+ (replacing the popular FastPass system) has also disgruntled many Disney World Guests or Disneyland Guests. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is an Individual Lightning Lane attraction, like many other Disney attractions are now, and journalist Scott Gustin has Tweeted that this Individual Lightning Lane ride will cost between $14 and $17 plus tax per Disney Guest.
Apparently, the price will actually vary depending on what day it is: between May 27 and May 20, it will cost $17. Tickets for the ride then get cheaper, lowering to just $14 plus tax per person on and after May 31!

What do you think of this price range and the fact that the price will be going down after just a few days? Are you going to schedule your Disney vacation with the price of tickets for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind as a factor — or are you eager to try out the newest Disney thrill ride that one Disney Imagineer from Walt Disney Imagineering called “very exciting”, regardless of cost or Individual Lightning Lane status?
