Recently, a fan highlighted an “inaccurate” sign at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort in Disney World in Central Florida, but it turned out to give way to a more surprising debate.
The Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, is one of the best places to enjoy the Disney experience. The Orlando Disney resort is home to four theme parks and two water parks, which are all designed by Walt Disney Imagineering to create the ultimate immersive environment in which to enjoy a Disney vacation.
While Disney Imagineers usually pride themselves on accuracy, recently, a fan pointed out a discrepancy at the Art of Animation resort.

Fan Highlights “Inaccurate” Sign at Art of Animation
Recently, a Disney fan took to Reddit to share a photo of an “inaccurate” fun fact at the Art of Animation Disney resort. The sign reads: “Mack, A Classic Long Haul Track is voiced by Joh Ratzenberger—the only actor whose voice is heard in all of Pixar’s feature films.”
The fan pointed out the supposed inaccuracy, referring to the fact that Ratzenberger hasn’t done cameos for Pixar Animation Studios movies for a very long time.

John Ratzenberger and Disney/Pixar
The Cheers alum, who had become a staple of every Disney/Pixar film for 25 years, suddenly stopped appearing in the company’s films, leading many to question the disappearance of the beloved actor. Ratzenberger began his career with Pixar in their very first film by voicing Hamm in Toy Story and its sequels.
Why did Pixar stop using John Ratzenberger?
MovieWeb explained how Ratzenberger changed his came style in Pixar Animation Studios movies. The outer explained, “While fans did not hear him, director Pete Docter explained that Ratzenberger is featured in Soul. In one scene, we see a cameo of an office worker who resembles a young Ratzenberger from his Cliff Clavin days. The employee has no lines, meaning that Ratzenberger himself is technically not involved with Soul. Docter noted they wanted to do something new with Ratzenberger’s cameo rather than the traditional voice role.”

However, worth noting is that “Ratzenberger was entirely absent from Luca, Turning Red, Lightyear, and Elemental. He did reprise his role as the Yeti on the TV spin-off Monsters at Work [from Monsters Inc] in 2021, but he’s been silent since.”
It’s entirely unclear exactly what went on behind the scenes that eventually resulted in Ratzenberger’s disappearance from Pixar, but what is evident now is that the actor has simply not made his quintessential cameos.
While the OP of the incorrect sign was referring to this fact when they called this fan fact wrong, many were quick to jump in defending Disney, saying the sign wasn’t “wrong,” just outdated. Most fans also agreed with this read, explaining that an inanimate sign could become outdated based on when it was created and what the context of Disney was when the sign was made.
