The feud between Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and the Walt Disney Company has been making headlines for months now. The Florida Governor did not react well to former Disney CEO Bob Chapek’s publically disagreeing with the “Don’t Say Gay” law—officially called the Parental Rights in Education Act—and retaliated by moving to dissolve the Reedy Creek Improvement District board. Now the fight has escalated to a bitter court battle filled with lawsuits from both sides.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has not made himself many friends during this battle. After the Florida Governor has made his position on all things relating to the Walt Disney Company clear, other companies have also joined Disney in suing Governor DeSantis for “anti-woke” laws.
In the midst of this, Governor DeSantis has been attacked by journalists, politicians, analysts, and more—on both sides of the political spectrum—for his actions in the recent past.
Recently, fellow GOP Presidential hopeful Chris Christie once again slammed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for “wasting time” on Disney.
While appearing on the podcast, Ruthless, Christie shared, without ever actively taking Governor DeSantis’s name,
“What we are wasting our time on is talking about, ‘Is it OK for Disney to oppose a bill in Florida and should they be penalized for it? And does that prove you’re really a tough guy or does it just prove that you’re not conservative in terms of the way you think government should operate?”
As a country, we always have a choice between going big and going small.
We need a President who will go big and lead us to big achievements. Not someone focused on the small stuff that’s constantly whining and moaning.
There’s nobody who can do big better than me.😉 pic.twitter.com/e2CXIcPD5X

This isn’t the first time Christie has called the Floria Governor out for “not being conservative.”
On the podcast, Christie continued, “I just don’t think it’s big. I think that it’s important, but it’s not going to change the course of the country.”
While this is the opinion of the Florida Governor’s rival in the presidential race, it’s also worth noting that the Disney feud hasn’t helped the governor’s popularity.
It remains to be seen what the impact of this fight will be on the Florida Governor’s presidential outcome, but for now, it seems that the way ahead looks a little rocky for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
