The Walt Disney Company is considered one of the foremost names in entertainment because of its willingness to push the bar and stay at the forefront of innovation. Lately, on this journey, Disney has faced a lot of criticism from various segments of its audiences for how it has been engaging with the current political rhetoric.

One show in particular has stood out for what some have called “anti-white propaganda,” The Proud Family reboot. However, the show appears to have been successful enough to call for a spinoff, and rumor has it one is in the works.

As reported by DTVA News on X, formerly known as Twitter, Disney Television is developing a spinoff of The Proud Family called La Familia AvenĂșñez, in a new trademark.

The account reported, “It seems that Emylville might expand with a potential series focusing on The Boulevardez with the AvenĂșñez side of the family.”

The account also informed fans, “Disney Enterprises Inc has trademarked a new series under the name “La Familia AvenĂșñez” the trademark lists “[entertainment] services featuring animation”. ICYMI The AvenĂșñez [were] introduced on The Proud Family Louder and Prouder episode ‘Raging Bully.’”

DTVA News also shared a link to a new trademark application for the show.

Additionally, the account confirmed that there were other Latino-driven projects in the pipeline at Disney. These include preschool shows from Jose Zelaya (Lilo and Stitch: The Series, Disney Junior The Lion Guard), and Norma P. Sepulveda (Disney Junior “Ariel”, “Elena Of Avalor”).
