These days, Disney celebrities are often thought of as adult actors who frequently star in Disney films or Disney projects (and who ardently express their own love for Disney on a constant basis). However, the Disney family is reportedly welcoming a young actor who does not fit the typical Disney mold!
A Not-So-Squeaky-Clean Disney Star?
Disney is known for trying to keep its Disney actors — especially its teenaged Disney Channel stars — squeaky-clean in terms of their reputations, but according to several websites, including The Mirror, a controversial young actor from the soap called Emmerdale has been cast in a Disney project!

According to the Mirror, the actor named Asan N’Jie “has landed a huge new role in a Disney production” despite the fact that he “was sacked from the soap” after making violent threats.
Asan N’Jie portrated the Emmerdale character named Ellis Chapman, but lost the role after allegedly “threatening to stab Hollyoaks’ Jamie Lomas at the 2019 TV Choice Awards”.

The actor (who apologized, saying that his “behaviour at the TV Choice Awards was completely unacceptable and very much out of character”) was heard threatening to “kill” and “knife” actor Jamie Lomas.
Now, N’Jie is reportedly starring in a movie with A-list actor John Travolta!
A Christmas Miracle
The Christmas movie is called The Shepherd, and is based on a Frederick Forsyth story about a fighter pilot who is struggling to make it home safely on Christmas Eve and who experiences some miraculous events on the journey.
John Travolta was spotted in the United Kingdom during filming last year.

N’Jie’s professional success, despite his personal scandal, brings to mind the scandals of The Flash star Ezra Miller (who recently made a comeback for their movie’s premiere, despite multiple concerning allegations against them) as well as the scandal surrounding well-established Disney star Will Smith (who retreated to India after slapping Chris Rock at last year’s Academy Awards).
