Disney fans have not yet given up on their dream of saving Splash Mountain despite the iconic attraction’s official end date.

Splash Mountain and its closure is a saga all Disney fans are intimately familiar with at this point. Based on the old, controversial Disney movie Song of the South, the beloved attraction is set to be replaced by Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, based on the comparatively recent Princess and the Frog. Fans have been upset with this retheme since it was announced and have even started petitions to save the Magic Kingdom attraction.

However, Disney hasn’t relented and has been pushing forward with the retheme, with the new ride set to open in 2024. But some fans are still hopeful that despite the ride closing at the end of this month, they will still somehow find a way to save the attraction.

One fan, Michael Tardi, took to Twitter to address Disney, even tagging Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in his tweet asking them to save Splash Mountain.

Considering that Disney has been moving forward at a consistent pace, it seems apparent that Splash Mountain is indeed seeing its last days. Fans have even addressed current Disney CEO Bob Iger to save the attraction.

At this stage of the process, many are choosing to look forward to the upcoming Tiana’s Bayou Adventure instead of looking to what they might be losing with the retheme of Splash Mountain.
