Recent posts posit that one of Disney’s owned properties might be undergoing a rebranding exercise, and fans are in support of the rebrand.
In order to be one of the leaders in the field of entertainment, the Walt Disney Company has to evolve and keep pushing the bar constantly. While this primarily focuses on the quality of their content, a focus for the company, as explained by Disney CEO Bob Iger, it’s often as important to make sure the brand’s visuals are on par with the presentation of the rest of the company.

Disney Junior to Undergo Rumored Rebrand
Recently, DTVA News, a “fan account by fans for fans everything you need to know for animated shows and movies made by Disney Animation,” shared a rumor that Disney Junior was going to rebrand to Disney Enterprises Inc and have also trademarked a new acronym for the image.
Disney Junior, for the uninitiated, is the channel that hosts some of Disney’s most beloved kids’ shows, including Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, and more.

Disney Junior was formerly known as Playhouse Disney. When it was known as Playhouse Disney, it comprised a morning preschool programming block on Disney Channel, as opposed to existing as its own entity.

Fans were generally relieved to hear that Disney Junior would be rebranding (assuming, of course, that the rumor is true). One wrote, “Geez it’s about damn time they get rid of their outdated 2012 branding already!”
Another focused their energies more on making sure Disney Channel’s logo stayed consistent, “Imagine they do this to Disney XD. Disney Channel’s current logo should stay the same forever.”
A third fan even recalled Disney’s competitor for that age group, Nickelodeon, and asked, “Playhouse Disney was the best name, has there been some change at Nick Jr that they feel they must mimic?”
It is important to note this news is presently unconfirmed by Disney, however, rest assured that as soon as we know more, we at Disney Fanatic will update you on the news.
