The latest photo of a massive crowd at the Southern California Disney Resort highlights a massive issue Disney still hasn’t solved.

Either Disney Resort, be it the Walt Disney World Resort in Central Florida or the Disneyland Resort in Southern California, is known to be one of the best places in the world for a Disney vacation. Going to any Disney Park is one of the best ways to enjoy the Disney experience.

Crowds Overtake Disneyland Resort

Recently, however, crowds swarmed Southern California’s Disneyland Resort, leading a guest to take a photo of the lines for the tram and share it on social media. In the photo shared below, as fans can see, the lines are incredibly long and packed.

The lines were so long that one fan commented, “At this point, I just walk to the parking garages.”

The OP responded, “Ended up getting a frozen strawberry lemonade and cina bites from Wetzel pretzel and hiked back to the Mickey and friends parking garage.”

While crowds are certainly a part of the Disney experience, this Disneyland crowd is certainly demonstrative of the fact that Disney’s crowd control mechanisms are not quite as developed as they need to be.

The crowd level was quite significant, and per reports from guests, is a common occurrence nowadays. One explained, “I always walk to (and from!) the garage. It’s honestly faster than waiting in line lol.”

Another agreed, “These crowds are so bad at times it’s really hard to enjoy a stress free day at DIsneyland I hate to say. Certain times of the year are a little better than others of course but it’s always such a damn chore getting on the rides you want to do, at least for me. Guess I need to get in good with a Kardashian! 😆.”

Many fans also spoke with immense fondness of the walk through Downtown Disney to reach the park or the parking garage. They shared, “Even though the trams have been back for a while. I still walk to the park through Downtown Disney. Easy access, short line, bag check is faster, no waiting for the tram, get excited to go to Disney while walking through downtown, and can get breakfast before going in the parks.”

Another also explained the walk is far less crowded than the tram. “The walk back typically isn’t crowded at all. It may get just a little congested in the tram waiting area and the middle of Downtown Disney, but never to the point where it’s a shoulder-to-shoulder wall of people. Once you reach the Star Wars Trading post area, you’re home free.”
