Disney+ Day is coming back this year, after serving as a fun Disney holiday in the fall of 2021 last year (and after Disney placed its focus on the Disney+ streaming service due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic). This year, just like last year, Disney+ Day will be a Disney holiday that includes lots of fun perks for Disney Guests or Disney+ subscribers — including early access to the Disney Parks!
If you are a Disney+ subscriber, you will be able to go into Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort earlier than other Guests in the morning! Mornings are highly prized times at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort (due in part to the fact that Florida and California are hot, so mornings tend to be more comfortable and cooler than sunny afternoons).
According to the Disney Parks Blog, “Disney+ subscribers and their travel party with valid admission and reservations are once again invited to enter the theme parks at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort 30 minutes before regular Park opening”. Any Disney Guest who has visited the Disney Parks many times will know that there is a lot that you can do with an extra half an hour of time — especially if you plan ahead!

As with Disney+ Day in 2021, the 2022 version of Disney+ Day will also involve plenty of other benefits for Disney Guests and Disney+ subscribers (including new content, although some Disney Guests will most likely still say that early access to the Parks is the most magical perk of all).
Special PhotoPass lenses will be available from the PhotoPass Service to allow for some extra-special selfies, and there will also be some extra-special character Meet and Greets (most likely involving characters whose movies originally premiered on Disney+, such as Raya the soon-to-be official Disney princess).
There is one more special perk to be announced, however: if you want to enter the Disney Parks an hour before everyone else instead of half an hour before everyone else, then you might be able to! Apparently, “Guests staying in select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and Hotels of the Disneyland Resort (with valid admission and a reservation) will have the opportunity to enter 60 minutes before regular Park open”!
So there you have it: Disney+ Day is giving you the chance to enjoy 30 to 60 minutes of extra Disney Park time, plus extra photo opportunities, Meet and Greets, and new content on Disney+! Enjoy Disney+ Day on September 8!
