Another Disney Resort has announced it is suspending its Annual Pass sales, promising restructuring months after Passholders held a protest over the current program.
On Wednesday, March 29, the Disneyland Paris Resort confirmed that it was suspending its Annual Pass sales and promising an updated range of options coming soon. Like the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, and the Walt Disney World Resort outside Orlando, Florida, Disneyland Paris will still allow renewals for current passholders up to two months prior to the pass expiration date.
⚠️ All new sales of Disneyland Paris Annual Passes have been suspended effective immediately.
At this time, no details are available as to when sales may resume or if the product will change. Until then, renewals will still be allowed under the current offer. pic.twitter.com/s6LfhK2W3c— DLP Report (@DLPReport) March 29, 2023
Disneyland Paris states on its website,
We are always listening to our guests and continually strive to bring new experiences and develop new products which deliver choice, flexibility and value for our Annual Passholders.
We are currently developing a new product range for our most frequent visitors based on the valuable feedback our Passholders have given us and as a result we are pausing sales of new Annual Passes. Therefore our Annual Passes are now only available for renewals for individuals who currently have a valid Annual Pass.
This change has been a long time coming for the Parisian-based Disney Fanatics. While Disney World and Disneyland refrained from selling new passes, Disneyland Paris continued on despite also introducing its own Park Pass Reservation System. The Annual Passes became the subject of controversy with accusations of essentially false advertising. Its top-tier pass promised 365 days in the Parks, but the Theme Park Reservation System arguably resulted in unaccounted-for block-out dates being forced onto the Passholders.
We at Disney Fanatic reported that Passholders had an outright protest at the gates of the Theme Parks over this issue, which you can read more about by clicking the link below.

This news comes after the Disneyland Paris Resort recorded a record-breaking year and as work continues to bring its second gate Walt Disney Studios Park to a whole new level of experiences with the opening of Marvel’s Avengers Campus and the construction of a Frozen-themed land.
Disneyland Resort in California has briefly resumed sales of its Annual Pass called the Magic Key, but over at Disney World, only the lowest-tiered Pass option remains open to new sales and only for Florida Residents. It is still unclear when Disney Annual Pass sales will return to pre-Covid normalcy.
