Social media allows Disney Park Guests to be vocal about their opinions, and the latest is to do with line jumping at the Parks.
Line jumping is not new to any Disney Park Guest. In fact, no matter which Park you go to, wherever in the world, you’re likely to experience this phenomenon. Whether it’s domestically in Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom, in Walt Disney World Resort, and Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park in Disneyland Resort, or internationally in Tokyo Disney Resort or Disneyland Paris, this is known to happen.

This said, Disney Guests are getting more vocal about their feelings about this, and recently, some Disney Parks-goers have been flocking to TikTok to share their experiences with line cutting. Many of these fans and TikTok users went into detail about when and how this behavior was acceptable and their thoughts and opinions about it.
TikTok user Steph Lawless, @stephdoestravel, posted this video echoing many Guests’ frustrations, which suggested Guests stop using one person as a placeholder in line.
@stephdoestravel Stop using one person from your group as placeholder please. #linejumper #disneyrides
Lawless added in a response to the comment that “The entitlement of guests has gotten SO bad!!”
But this said, not every TikToker felt this was unacceptable behavior at all times. One user @kendras_adventures, mentioned that line jumping is okay if there are children or some adults that need to use the restroom, or if someone is getting water for their group. (Remember the hot Florida sun.)

@kendras_adventures My 2 cents on line jumping at Disney! Sometimes it is okay. Just gotta look at the scenario. #disney #disneyadult #linejumping #cuttingline #distok #disneycreator #vacationcountdown #disneyworld #disneyplanning
Another user, @kittymahoney02 — Ghost Host Kitty — echoed this sentiment in a TikTok, explaining that she would never stop someone from line jumping, even if she doesn’t know the reason. She went on further to share a personal experience wherein a friend had a medical emergency and someone in her group jumped the line to get help from a Cast Member.
Both Disney World and Disneyland Resort include line jumping in their list of rules and courtesies that Guests should be mindful of. Per Disneyland Resort:
Please show common courtesy to fellow Guests and our Cast Members by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive or offensive behavior, jumping lines or saving places in lines for others. For your safety and the safety of others, please refrain from running.
