To become inextricably linked to Disney history is a wonderful feeling. But to take that one step higher to become a part of global history through Disney is another level of accomplishment altogether. That is precisely what loyal and devoted Disney Guest Jeff Reitz has accomplished. Reitz has just smashed a Guinness World Record with regard to the Disney Parks, in particular, the Disneyland Resort.

For a sizeable total of eight years, three months, and 13 days, Reitz has been strolling to Disneyland every day, making 2.995 consecutive visits to Disneyland. And that’s precisely the record Reitz has now earned: the Guinness World record title for the most consecutive visits to Disneyland.”
Reitz shared, “It started as a joke between friends when Disneyland announced they were giving an ‘Extra Disney Day’ when they announced the Leap Day 24-hour event in 2012…We decided to use Disneyland as a positive as we were out of work and had annual passes that had been gifted, so it was a source of free entertainment.

Over the years, Reitz has become acquainted with Disneyland Cast Members, and he even became a celebrity in his own right, with Orange County Register interviewing him and many fans and Guests stopping him in the Disney Park to ask him for photos and autographs. Reitz has also been honored by Disneyland itself. After 366 days of visiting the Theme Park, the Disney Resort presented a gift basket and certificates of Honorary Citizenship to Reitz.

Even though his streak had to be paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he intends to return for the centennial celebrations at Disneyland and pose with his Guinness World Records certificate. That’s certainly one way to go down in history!
