Disney Resort Brings Back Ticket Discount for Locals

After weeks of price increases, this Disney Resort is finally reinstating beloved discounts for its local Guests.

Disney Parks announced today that the Disneyland Resort would bring back special Southern California resident discounts for a limited time, dropping Disneyland tickets to as low as $73 a day in some cases.

In the official announcement, Disney Parks states,

Southern California residents, this one’s for you! Disneyland Resort bringing back the Southern California resident ticket offer, where eligible guests may experience the magic of Disneyland park or Disney California Adventure park for as little as $73 per person, per day for a limited time with the purchase of a three-day, one-park per day weekday ticket, subject to park reservations. These tickets, which represent a great value, are on sale now for visits beginning Jan. 9 through May 25, 2023, and are valid weekdays.* In addition to this ticket offer, the three Hotels of the Disneyland Resort are offering special savings on standard and premium rooms for a limited time.

These discount Disneyland tickets, of course, subject to blackout dates, and according to Disney Parks, those blackout dates are the following: “1/14, 1/15, 1/21, 1/22, 1/28, 1/29, 2/4, 2/5, 2/11, 2/12, 2/18, 2/19, 2/25, 2/26, 3/4, 3/5, 3/11, 3/12, 3/18, 3/19, 3/25, 3/26, 4/1, 4/2, 4/8, 4/9, 4/15, 4/16, 4/22, 4/23, 4/29, 4/30, 5/6, 5/7, 5/13, 5/14, 5/20, 5/21.”

Despite rumors of the Theme Park Reservation System being discontinued, Disney Parks makes it clear that, as of right now, a Theme Park Reservation is required along with valid Theme Park admission to enjoy either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park.

Southern California residents and Northern Baja residents will also be able to take advantage of up to 20% off on select stays at a Disneyland Resort Hotel.

There is a lot of magic planned for Disneyland in early 2023, which includes the reopening of Mickey’s Toontown with Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, the return of the Magic Happens Parade, and the start of the Disney100 Celebration.
