After repeatedly putting her foot in her mouth when it comes to the 2025 Snow White movie, it seems as though Disney has put its foot down and asked Rachel Zegler to rehab her image.

Disney has enough challenges with their movies at the moment. The company has not seen a mega-hit on the level they’ve enjoyed for decades, and many believe that the Walt Disney Company has most definitely lost its touch.

With few even looking forward to the Mouse House’s upcoming releases, it seems like Disney is going about fixing its image, even if it means having a talking-to with its stars.

Rachel Zegler Does a 180 on Her Previous Snow White Bashing

Rachel Zegler’s comments about the original Snow White movie have caused her more trouble than necessary in the past. With many fans reading Zegler’s comments as “bashing” the original animated feature, they wondered aloud why she was even playing the famous, beloved princess in the live-action remake.

When Disney’s Rachel Zegler controversy got too out of hand last year, her PR company clearly stepped in and made her apologize for what she said. Unfortunately, many felt she was still simply playing the victim rather than truly apologizing.

However, after all the Rachel Zegler hate calmed down, Disney quietly made sure the actress changed her narrative about the old movie as if that had always been the case.

While chatting with Variety about the live-action Snow White remake, Zegler said,

“The cartoon is so beloved. It was the first feature-length cartoon movie. It won honorary Oscars. And all these amazing things that happened for that film are the reason that you and I get to sit here today, because it made Disney what it is. Obviously, that’s come with a lot of pressure that I’ve put on myself… I love everything that the Disney Co. has put out in the past 100 years.

So how do you put little baby Rachel at ease with what you’re doing in your career? How is it that you come to this role and make little Rachel proud? That was really what I used to fuel my emotion on that set. Because all the pictures are out there of little me in my Snow White gown.”

Disney’s Snow White, set to release in 2024, is an upcoming live-action film based on the 1937 animated feature film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It’s directed by Marc Webb and features a screenplay by Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson. Walt Disney Pictures and Marc Platt Productions co-produce the film. Snow White stars Rachel Zegler in the lead role, with Gal Gadot playing the evil queen.
