Recently, we at Disney Fanatic shared the news that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster with Aerosmith was finally leaving the studio to be replaced by a Marvel-themed attraction for the new Avengers Campus opening soon at the Disneyland Paris Resort. Now, we know a little more about what that new ride will be like.

On Wednesday, May 25, Disney Parks Blog shared some insights into the new attractions Guests can expect to find in the Marvel-themed land, including Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster’s replacement: AVENGERS ASSEMBLE: FLIGHT FORCE.

According to Disney,

Exclusive to Disneyland Paris, AVENGERS ASSEMBLE: FLIGHT FORCE is every thrill seeker’s dream. Here, recruits will be briefed by Iron Man, equipped with Mark 80 armor for his missions at Avengers Campus in Paris.

And there’s no time to waste as recruits join not only Iron Man, but Captain Marvel herself on a mission through space in a vehicle Stark has equipped with a homing device, to lure this threat away from Earth.

While Disney Parks Blog still leaves much to the imagination of MCU fans, it is clear that Guests will need to be boarding a very fast vehicle to 1) keep up with Iron Man and Captain Marvel and 2) outpace whatever global threat is being lured away by that homing device. What better source material than the incredibly fast coaster starring Aerosmith?

It appears that FLIGHT FORCE will be one of only two attractions available on the opening day of Avengers Campus, Paris. The other appears to be a variant of WEB SLINGERS at Disney California Adventure Park’s Avengers Campus called SPIDER-MAN W.E.B. ADVENTURE.

It is unclear at this time how many attractions Walt Disney Imagineering will add to the Avengers Campus at Walt Disney Studios Park, including whether or not its own version of The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror is at risk of being rethemed to Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission BREAKOUT! like its sister in Southern California.

Marvel’s Avengers Campus opens at Disneyland Paris on July 20, 2022. In the meantime, the original themed land is open at the Disneyland Resort, and The Walt Disney World Resort will be opening EPCOT’s first superhero attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, on Friday, May 27.

We at Disney Fanatic will continue to update our readers on Disney Parks news as more developments come to light.
