One of the best parts of visiting a Disney Resort is the chance to be wholly and completely immersed in the Disney bubble. From being able to hang out with your favorite characters and meet and interact with them, and taking in your favorite ride or attraction—think like Space Mountain or Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom or Avatar Flight of Passage in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park—there’s a lot to look forward to when at a Disney Park.

Of all of these attractions, one of the most beloved character interactions is Turtle Talk with Crush! Turtle Talk with Crush is an interactive attraction at Disney theme parks that allows Guests to have a conversation with Crush, the sea turtle from the Disney/Pixar movie Finding Nemo. Turtle Talk with Crush has been a popular attraction at any Disney Theme Park since it first debuted at EPCOT in Walt Disney World in 2004. After its success at EPCOT, it was added to other Disney Parks around the world, including Disneyland Resort in California at Disney California Adventure Park, Tokyo DisneySea in Japan, and Disneyland Paris in France.

At this attraction, Guests are encouraged to ask Crush all sorts of questions. Sometimes, Crush has been asked for marriage advice, and once he even narrowly avoided a conversation that resembled quasi-proselytization. However, Crush was recently asked a question about a pop culture feud, and Crush has even chosen his side.

As some may know, former Disney star Selena Gomez has been wrapped up in an internet battle with Hailey Beiber for the last month. Hailey Beiber—pop star Justin’s Beiber wife—allegedly made videos and content attacking and mocking Selena Gomez, and the latter’s fans did not take kindly to this. They immediately took Hailey Beiber to task, and the situation got so out of hand that Selena Gomez took to her Instagram platform to tell fans to leave Hailey Beiber alone.

Most celebrities, during the time of the fight, took Selena’s side, with many reportedly unfollowing Hailey Beiber online. And now, it appears Crush has an opinion on the matter! One Turtle Talk with Crush fan asked the beloved turtle whether he was Team Hailey Beiber or Team Selena Gomez. The turtle first asked who both women were and then hesitantly answered the question.

As fans can see, Crush is Team Selena, and with good reason considering the stunning pop star is a former Disney star. Fans in the comments corroborated this, as well: “Selena was a Disney star so it would have been so messed up if he didn’t pick her.”

Many said Crush was “so real” for that.

Ultimately the moment was all in good fun but was certainly smoothly handled by the chill turtle—as always!
