“How Can My Parents Marriage Be Fixed”: Disney Character Interaction Takes a Turn!

Visiting either the Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort is an experience many Disney fans treasure. Whether that is for the myriad attractions and rides on offer—think like Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, and more—the incredible shows like “Fantasmic!” or even the various character meet ‘n’ greets and opportunities for character interaction—even ones like Turtle Talk with Crush—at the Disney Resorts, fans cherish the chance to live the Disney experience. And in lighter and certainly unique news, a Disney character interaction at Walt Disney World Resort in the Disney Park EPCOT took a turn when a child stumped the character with an unexpected question.

Disney Guest and Disney Parks enthusiast and TikToker Kenzie shared a funny interaction between a child and the Disney character Crush from Finding Nemo at the Turtle Talk with Crush show in EPCOT, Walt Disney World Resort. Per Walt Disney World, the show one is wherein Guests can “Gather around a window to the ocean for a conversation in real time with your favorite totally tubular sea turtle.”

In this innocent interaction, a child asked the turtle if he would give the child’s father advice because his “mommy says his dad doesn’t take her on enough dates. So can [Crush] give [the child’s] dad advice because [he] wants more brothers and sisters.”

Crush is understandably initially taken aback, though those in the audience enjoy the humorous moment. Crush thinks about it before changing the topic playfully by asking the dad to “raise a fin” and identify himself. In the funnier follow-up video, Kenzie shares Crush’s response to the child’s question:

Crush tells the kid’s father to take his wife out on more dates and jokingly concludes, “I’m only going to stick with the first part bro,” side-stepping the second part of the kid’s question with finesse. Fans enjoyed this interaction and even said they’d never seen him speechless before. As one fan pointed out in the first video, “It’s not longer ‘what’s your favorite color,’ it’s ‘how can my parents marriage be fixed.’”
