The Walt Disney Company is always looking to update guest experience at the parks, however, a recent change that Disney instituted in one global Disney Park hasn’t been well received by guests.
While the Walt Disney World Resort is undoubtedly one of the best places in the world to enjoy a Disney vacation, the Central Florida Disney resort is only one of the many incredible Disney Parks in the world. From Disneyland Resort in Southern California and Disneyland Paris in France to Shanghai Disneyland in Shanghai Disney Resort and Tokyo Disneyland, there are a plethora of Disney Parks that provide the ultimate Disney experience.
Pirates of the Caribbean Gets an Upgrade
Walt Disney Imagineering is always working to better the Disney Park experience for all guests. Whether that’s a complete retheme of a ride like Splash Mountain to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure or the introduction of a new attraction or land, the Walt Disney Imagineering team is constantly at work to make the Disney Parks what they are to so many of us.
Recently, DLP Report took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share that the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Disneyland Paris has a new addition. The account explained that the attraction now features a “new backlit digital wait time screen.”
You can check out the new screen for yourself in the photo below!

Guests Unimpressed With Latest Technological Addition
However, while one might think that perhaps this was an update that was well received, in reality, many fans were underwhelmed.
One shared, “Looks like the cheapest old-tech display they could find at the pawn shop..”
Another agreed, taking a humorous approach to their comment, “So that’s where the budget for the Hotel New York The Art of Marvel pumpkin went.”
One guest even thought the move was “Typical Disney,” adding it was” ‘penny wise, pound foolish’ for an ugly result…”
The reality is that many felt that there were more important issues for Disney to address rather than focusing on making the clocks that share the wait time at the parks fancier.
For example, fans have previously expressed that one of the theme parks (the Parisian park is home to Parc Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios Park) in Disneyland Paris was simply not up to par and needed to be demolished and rebuilt.

While there are always more things to work and improve on, at the very least, we’re glad to see Disney continuing to demonstrate an active effort to better guest experience.
