Disney World Begins Surprise Refurbishment in ‘Avatar’ Land

Surprise, Disney fans! If you thought Pandora – The World of Avatar couldn’t get any more magical, think again. Disney’s giving those incredible bioluminescent walkways a fresh new look! It caught us off guard, but hey, who’s complaining? With Animal Kingdom extending its park hours in February, we’ll finally get more time to bask in Pandora’s glowing beauty. Seriously, if you haven’t seen it at night, you’re missing out—and it’s about to get even better! Just imagine walking through the land with those freshly painted pathways lighting up the night—it’s going to be breathtaking. The glow, the ambiance, the otherworldly feel—it’s everything we love about Pandora and more!

Sure, some pathways are blocked off right now, making it a little more crowded, but the rest of this stunning land is still open and ready for you to explore. You can still soar on Flight of Passage, take in the serene Na'vi River Journey, and grab a delicious meal at Satu'li Canteen. Just imagine how vibrant those walkways will look when they’re done—it’s going to be like stepping into another world all over again. And let’s be real, any excuse to spend more time in Pandora is a good one! Plus, this might mean even more exciting updates are on the way for the rest of the park. I mean, who wouldn’t want to see even more magical touches added to one of the most immersive lands at Disney?

And that’s just the start of the excitement. Disney World is shaking things up in 2025 with some MAJOR updates that will have fans buzzing. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is set for a thrilling refresh, and who doesn’t love a good update to the wildest ride in the wilderness? I can’t wait to see what new twists and turns they’ll add.

Test Track is getting revamped—I’m talking new cars, faster speeds, maybe even a whole new storyline that’ll make you feel like you’re part of a futuristic race. Dinoland USA is closed to make way for an all-new Tropical Americas land, and I’m betting it’ll be packed with incredible new rides, lush scenery, and amazing food.

A Monsters, Inc. land will be moving into Hollywood Studios, replacing Muppet*Vision 3D! Imagine walking through the doors of Monsters, Inc. and seeing Mike and Sulley in their natural habitat. It’s an exciting time to be a Disney fan, and we can’t wait to see what’s next! Get ready for a year of magic, adventure, and surprises around every corner—2025 is going to be one for the books!
