While each one offers its own level of comfort and magical amenities, the real reason behind booking a Disney World Resort Hotel is to get the convenience and benefits of Theme Park Days. Those include getting Early Access to Theme Parks, access to a separate “bucket” of Theme Park Reservations to choose from, and the ability to book dining reservations before anybody else.

And the question of what is the most affordable option available to secure these perks continues to emerge like a tide in and out of Disney fan conversations, and we are here to remind you that the cheapest way to enjoy Resort Guest Perks at Disney World is not by booking a value resort or a Disney Springs Resort Area hotel. The cheapest Resort option at Walt Disney World is the Campgrounds at Fort Wilderness.

According to the Walt Disney World Resort Website, Campsite reservations can start at less than $90/night, with the most expensive setups for your RVs still being less than $200/night, and all sizes fit either RV or pop-up tents. While you are not staying at a hotel per se, you are still technically staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Therefore you get all of the same benefits as those Guests staying in one of the cabins or in the hotel rooms at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. You have both ferry and bus transportation to the Theme Parks and special Resort experiences, from Character Experiences to easy access to the Hoop Dee Doo Revue.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is nestled in the woods along the shore of Bay Lake behind Disneys Contemporary Resort and Disneys Wilderness Lodge, which offers the closest proximity to the Magic Kingdom Park.
