The holiday season at Walt Disney World is quickly approaching, but for some guests, the dream of celebrating Christmas at the Central Florida Disney parks may be slipping away. With just over a month to go until Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party kicks off, two more event nights have already sold out, leaving thousands of Disney Park guests with no chance to attend the popular celebration.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will take over Magic Kingdom Park on select dates from November 7 to December 21, 2025. Guests attending these special event nights can enter the park as early as 4:00 p.m., with festivities officially starting at 7:00 p.m. Ticket holders receive various seasonal perks, including free holiday treats like cookies and cocoa, a complimentary gift, and exclusive access to special holiday entertainment. The event features special character meet-and-greets, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, and Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.
However, some Walt Disney World Resort guests may have missed their chance to experience these magical festivities. Earlier this month, the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, on November 7, sold out. As of September 25, two additional event dates have sold out: November 10 and December 21.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets range from $169 to $229, depending on the date selected. Those hoping to attend should act quickly, as many dates are expected to sell out soon, especially weekends and dates close to the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. For those still considering attending, available event nights include November 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 25, 26, 28, and 30, as well as December 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 19.
Guests planning to visit Walt Disney World Resort during the holiday season should note that the Magic Kingdom will close at 6:00 p.m. on Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party event nights. Additionally, the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away Parade will not be performed on party dates. For those who don’t have Park Hopper tickets, it’s best to visit Magic Kingdom Park on a non-party day to enjoy all the park’s attractions.
In previous years, select entertainment from Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, such as the fireworks and parade, has been offered to all guests at Magic Kingdom between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. However, this entertainment is not guaranteed.

Ho -ho-ho In my opinion this offering of MVMCP should be skipped by everyone. That said because after we contacted Disney for the 2023 MVMCP wanteng to know if the Toy Soldiers band will be in the parade. Disney assured us the Toy Soldiers band will indeed be in the parade again. With this news we booked the $199 MVMCP and Deluxe accomidations for 4 nights. The parade was on our first night and there was NO Toy Soldiers band in front of the regular Toy soldiers in the parade. Disney lied to us so we would purchase a room and tickets besides paying for the party tickets. We even verified with the cast member about the band in the parade. I will say should you go you will enjoy the party by not knowing how it used to be. The warn hot chocolate and awful free cookies sound so delictable, huh! But wait Disney says walk on rides, NOT! There are lines for each ride just shorter than daytime lines. Expect 15-20 minute wait for most good rides. The walk ons that Disney mentions are like the train ride or Carousel of Progress or the People Mover. We are sad mentioning these rants but you must have an open mind and big checkbook.
