Did Disney Just Reveal the Name of Its Next Theme Park?

Disney fans may have caught the first glimpse of the name for the company’s next Disneyland destination, currently under development in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. While the official title hasn’t been announced, recent domain registrations and public records suggest Disney is already staking its claim online.

On May 7, 2025, The Walt Disney Company confirmed plans for its first-ever theme park in the UAE. Situated on Yas Island, the waterfront destination promises “signature Disney entertainment, themed accommodations, unique dining and retail experiences, and storytelling in a way that celebrates both the heritage of Disney and the futuristic and cultural essence of Abu Dhabi.”

Similar to Tokyo Disney Resort, the Abu Dhabi theme park location won’t be directly operated by Disney. During development, Walt Disney Imagineering is collaborating with Miral Group, the “leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences” in Abu Dhabi. The third-party company will manage the park under a licensing agreement with Disney.

Public records obtained by Forbes revealed that the day before the park announcement, Disney Enterprises registered multiple domain names connected to the project: emiratesdisneyland.com, disneylandarabia.com, disneylandyasisland.com, and yasdisneyland.com. They also took control of disneylandabudhabi.com, which had been previously registered in April by an unrelated party.

Of course, securing these domains doesn’t guarantee which one will become the park’s official name. All links are currently inactive, and most of the domain names are set to expire a year from their registration date, though Disney could renew them at any time. These moves likely prevent competing parties from claiming a domain for the eventual official title.

While Disney hasn’t revealed the official name, Miral and Disney have provided a few details about what to expect. The park will be indoors, feature the first-ever “modern Disney Castle,” and is slated to be the most technologically advanced Disney park to date.
