Any Disney Park is known as the place where wishes come true. Whether it’s fulfilling a more unconventional wish like this fan shared at the now-retired Splash Mountain (which is currently being rethemed into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World Resort in Central Florida, with Disneyland Resort in Southern California soon to follow) or even something as pure as seeing your favorite attraction like this fan at Cinderella Castle and breaking down in tears because of it. The Disney Parks are truly magical places.

Make-A-Wish and Disney

Make-A-Wish has a long-standing relationship with Disney, no matter where in the world they are. Per the Walt Disney Company’s website, “The Walt Disney Company works with Make-A-Wish to grant wishes ranging from theme park and resort vacations, cruises, and shopping sprees, to studio visits, talent meet-and-greets, sports-themed experiences and more.”

Recently, one wish that Disney granted to a young ten-year-old through Hong Kong Disneyland has been winning hearts. Disney Parks Blog took to its platform to share the story.

10-year-old wish child, Jarvis, got to fulfill one of his dreams by performing on stage during Make-A-Wish Hong Kong’s 25th Anniversary Celebration Party.

Jarvis was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome in 2018, and the last five years have been packed with medical treatments to help him on his healing journey. He was unable to attend school and do regular activities during his treatment, but he discovered a newfound love for music and began playing the drums.

Fans will be happy to know, as Disney Parks Blog shared, Jarvis has recovered after receiving a bone marrow transplant, and his wish was to celebrate that by giving thanks to, and performing for, all the people who helped him along his journey.

“I especially want to thank my beloved grandmother, whose love and care have given me strength and hope,” Jarvis shared. “I hope that my performance can inspire other wish children facing similar challenges to pursue their passions and never give up on their dreams.”

During his performance, Jarvis sang a Chinese song called “Good Health” to thank everyone for taking care of him.

Truly magical.
