How You Can Get a FREE MagicBand+!

Ten years ago, Disney introduced something that changed the theme park game — MagicBands. MagicBands were bands that guests would wear around their wrists and could use as their theme park ticket, PhotoPass, hotel room key, and charge card. At first, MagicBands only came in several solid colors, but now there are dozens of designs and guests are sure to find one that represents their favorite aspects of Disney. MagicBands have also evolved into MagicBand+, which was introduced late last year.

Disney used to give out free MagicBands to guests who had booked a vacation, but that stopped in January 2021. Guests were incredibly disappointed that Disney had taken one more perk away from them. However, Disney recently announced that select guests could still get their hands on a free MagicBand+ for a limited time!

In August 2021, Disneyland Resort introduced Magic Keys — the new Annual Pass for Disneyland Resort guests. And now, those Magic Key Holders can get their hands on a Magic Key Holder MagicBand+ while supplies last. According to Disneyland officials, Magic Key Holders can get a free Magic Key Holder MagicBand+ with ANY purchase at select locations.

It is important to note that only one MagicBand+ is available for each transaction. However, there is no limit on how many transactions the Magic Ky Holder can have. Your Magic Key and a valid ID must also be presented to take advantage of the offer.

MagicBand+ is the largest update Disney has ever made to its MagicBand program. MagicBand+ can do everything traditional MagicBands can do — act as a park ticket, be your PhotoPass, act as your room key. At Walt Disney World Resort, guests can also use their MagicBand+ as a way to pay for their purchases. A credit card can be attached to the MagicBand. Payment options are not yet available at Disneyland Resort.
