Disneyland Paris Announces Plans and Perks for Guests Ahead of its 30th Anniversary

Even though the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort has been stealing all of the limelight lately, Disneyland Paris will soon be celebrating an anniversary of its own — and the Disney Parks Blog has shared what Disneyland Paris Guests can expect during the festivities! The celebrations will begin on March 6 2022.

A new show called “Dream…and Shine Brighter!” will be unveiled in front of the recently-refurbished Sleeping Beauty Castle, and the new show will focus on “the power of laughter, passion, and dreams”. More than 30 favorite Disney characters will be involved in the show, and they will have special anniversary costumes just like the characters in Walt Disney World Resort have had for that ongoing 50th anniversary celebration.

The nighttime show at Disneyland Paris will also be getting an upgrade for the 30th anniversary in the form of a new pre-show called “Disney D-Light”. Everything from “video projections” and “illuminated water jets” to “lighting effects, mist, famous Disney songs, and drone choreographies” will be involved! The new Disneyland Paris theme song “Un monde qui s’illumine” (which was composed and created by the Abbey Road Studios studio in London) will also be a new addition to the nighttime entertainment.

Although it won’t be unveiled on March 6 like many of the other anniversary offerings, “Mickey and the Magician” will be having its comeback in the spring or summer. Another returning performance, “Disney Junior Dream Factory, Disney Stars on Parade”, has just returned this January!

If you like EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival, then you’ll want to check out the new outdoor art installations coming to Disneyland Paris this year as well. Popular Disney characters will be featured in this “Gardens of Wonder” promenade, as shown above in the concept art, but so will artwork inspired by the work of famous artists like Salvador Dali!

Many parts of Disneyland Paris will also be changing ‘clothes’ just like its characters, with a new blue and purple aesthetic representing the anniversary. Disneyland Paris will of course be adding new anniversary menu items for hungry Guests too, as a complement to the incredible anniversary foods coming out of Walt Disney World! A “vegan panini”, “a salted mashed potato waffle”, “a white chocolate and strawberry cake served under a dome”, and a buffet of macarons are all just a taste of what is to come from Disneyland Paris chefs!

A big Disney event wouldn’t be complete without merchandise, and Disneyland Paris is not disappointing in that department either. There will be over 350 new products to buy, ranging from clothing to bags to plushes to toys, as well as an exclusive Stella McCartney Minnie Mouse pantsuit! Stella McCartney will also be launching a line inspired by Fantasia in 2022 and selling a Minnie Mouse T-shirt in Stella McCartney stores on March 8 for International Women’s Rights Day.
