Disney’s Price Rises May Not Be Over

If the recent price rises that have had fans up in arms were not enough, there are now more rumored price rises on the horizon from Disney.

Going to a Disney Park is an experience to be treasured. But Walt Disney World Resort vacations are an expensive choice; decisions from the Walt Disney Company have also begun pricing more and more sections of people over the years. The issue has only worsened recently. Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort saw Genie+ price increases and Guests noted a considerable spike in Individual Lightning Lane prices at Disneyland Resort. This Disney Park also pushed up the cost of ticket prices.

One of the most popular ways that Disney Resort fans enjoy the Disney Parks and Resorts is through Disney Vacation Club. This is a timeshare program that gives priority access to its members, including to the Disney Vacation Club Resorts.

Per most recent reports of DVC news from DVC Fan, there are rumors that there might be another increase that will now affect Vacation Club members.

Many a Disney Vacation Club Resort, such as The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Disney’s Riviera Resort, and Aulani Resort, Disney Vacation Club Villas that are currently selling are expected to increase from $207 as the current direct price to $217.

That’s not all. Part of the rumors is that many of the other presently sold-out Disney Vacation Club resorts, including Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Bay Lake Tower, Beach Club, Boardwalk, Boulder Ridge, Copper Creek Villas, Hilton Head, and more, are also expected to increase by $10 from their current price. Disney’s Old Key West Resort and Disney’s Saratoga Springs are also expected to increase by $5.

Per the report,

“These mark some of the most significant increases we’ve seen in recent years. They also come ahead of the busy holiday season, which is one of Disney Vacation Club’s most successful sales seasons.” 

The report states, per the rumors, these prices will begin going live on Sunday, December 4, 2022.

There’s not yet any official word on these increases from Disney.
