Celebrations for Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month have officially begun at Walt Disney World Resort!
The Disney experience of a celebration is memorable. Whether it’s to do with their spooktacular Halloween celebrations or like with the 50th Anniversary Special at Walt Disney World, the Walt Disney Company knows how to add its special flavor to an occasion.
And now it’s time for another one.
As the Disney Parks Blog announced, Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month has officially kicked off at Walt Disney World! Here’s what Disney said about the upcoming celebration:
As part of our #TogetherWeAreMagia, we are orgullosos to showcase a great variety of entertainment, authentic experiences, specialty food and beverage items, and art inspired by Hispanic and Latin American cultures.
The celebration is kicking off at EPCOT with a performance from Los Amigos Invisibles on September 16 and 17 at the Eat to the Beat Concert Series at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Per Disney, “the popular band from Venezuela will bring all the disco, funk, jazz, and Latin rhythm we love and adore.” Equally exciting is that their debut at Disney World’s EPCOT will be streamed live on the Disney Parks Blog for fans who want to catch the performance!
Magic Kingdom Park will also feature the “Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade” featuring Mirabel from Disney’s “Encanto,” Miguel from Disney and Pixar’s “Coco,” and other characters. Per Disney Parks Blog, “this super-sized procession of characters winds its way through the park multiple times each day.”
There are also multiple musical celebrations with Mickey’s PhilharMagic performing “Un Poco Loco” from Disney and Pixar’s “Coco” with an animated scene based on the movie. EPCOT will present the warm melodies of Mariachi Cobre and their world-famous traditional music from Jalisco, Mexico. And finally, Guests can enjoy the Viva Gaia Street Band’s Caribbean-Latin rhythms at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
In addition, there are tons of new food and merchandise options being introduced just for the celebration, and fans are excited!
The celebration runs through October 15 at the Walt Disney World Resort in Central Florida.
