In some bittersweet news for the day, a beloved Disney Park eatery that we previously reported was shutting down has finally been replaced.

The Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort are two of the most renowned places for a Disney vacation. Fans from all over the world flock to these Disney Resorts and their Disney Parks to have their perfect Disney experience. Unfortunately, sometimes the rides, establishments, and eateries that help us feel the Disney magic don’t always survive the tests of time. For example, Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom had an Alien Encounter attraction that eventually closed down, and fans still remember it fondly.

However, while it is indeed always a sad day when a beloved establishment closes down—La Brea Bakery was incredibly beloved by Disneyland Resort fans, and many were sad to see it go, we bring some happier tidings. As journalist Scott Gustin shared, La Brea Bakery in the Downtown Disney District is set to be replaced by the Earl of Sandwich temporarily.

Here’s the news below:

Earl of Sandwich is set to open on February 1, 2023. Per Gustin, the restaurant is “scheduled to open at 11 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. The regular 8 a.m. opening will start on Friday.”

Gustin also clarified in the comments that the bakery spot will temporarily house the Earl of Sandwich pop-up until a more permanent spot opens up. La Brea Bakery’s former spot will be home more permanently to Porto’s Bakery.
