Cast Members Scramble as Bathroom Trouble Disturbs EPCOT Location

Walt Disney World Guests in Florida were unexpectedly treated to a “journey of water” preview when bathroom trouble at EPCOT caused a section of the World Showcase to require a detour. Cast Members scrambled to make the area safe amid the escalating toilet turmoil, creating quite an interesting scene.

EPCOT Bathroom Backup

EPCOT has been one of the more popular destinations to visit at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Its two major sections, Future World and the World Showcase, have undergone extensive construction in the past couple of years. New attractions such as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure have drawn quite the crowds amid lower Guest attendance this summer.

The Park is about to see an immersive water experience launch later this fall. The walk-through attraction is called Journey of Water, inspired by the award-winning Disney animated film Moana. While strolling through the encounter, Guests will be able to interact with water in completely fun and unique ways. However, visitors did not expect to witness a grotesque version of this experience involving backed-up plumbing while touring the nearby World Showcase.

World Showcase Toilet Trouble

EPCOT may arguably have a drinking problem, but it also had a plumbing problem recently. Guests visiting the Park reported that the major bathrooms near the World Showcase and Canada Pavilion entrance were experiencing some trouble. Something was causing water to pour out into the street due to a backup, leading Cast Members to rope the area off to address the situation.

Water filled the nearby pathways, causing Guests to have to detour around the spot. Towels were placed along the hazard zone to prevent the water from becoming a potential slip-and-fall accident while Cast Members diligently monitored the space. One visitor took to Twitter to make everyone aware of the scene.

It is unknown was caused the backup. However, you can see from the images and video that the issue caused quite an interruption to the heavy traffic location. This spot is often packed as Guests utilize the restrooms and navigate their way through the World Showcase.

When visiting Walt Disney World, always make sure to be aware of your surroundings. Toilet troubles are not the most concerning thing to worry about, but slipping in water could quickly end your vacation fun. Hopefully, this EPCOT bathroom backup issue was solved quickly, and everyone could pretend the disgusting situation never happened.
