The Fallout universe is making the leap from screen to scream this fall as Prime Video’s hit series becomes the latest addition to Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights. Haunted houses based on the acclaimed post-apocalyptic drama are set to open on both coasts—Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort—offering fans a chance to step inside the irradiated ruins of Vault 33.
In a fresh reveal, Universal confirmed that the new experience will throw guests headfirst into the scorched world of the 2024 Prime Video series, which itself was adapted from Bethesda’s beloved video game franchise. The story begins in the depths of Vault-Tec’s underground shelters, where guests will follow protagonist Lucy MacLean as she navigates a blood-soaked trail through the wreckage left behind by a grisly massacre.
Halloween Horror Nights Reveals New House
Fallout has a devoted fan base, and the series is packed with terrifying visuals and characters that are perfect for Halloween Horror Nights. The story we’re telling in the haunted house will give fans a brand-new way to experience that world—only this time, they’re in it.
From there, the attraction ventures out into the unforgiving wasteland, where decaying diners and ruined cityscapes crawl with scavengers and mutants. The attraction is designed to capture the show’s signature retro-futuristic vibe, complete with 1950s-inspired sets, immersive sound design, and period costuming layered over nuclear devastation.
‘Fallout’ Storyline Teased
According to Universal, the haunted house will bring the most unforgettable and ghastly moments of the show to life. Guests will encounter raiders, ghouls, and irradiated beasts along the way. Among the series’ key characters featured is a young Maximus, who fans will recognize as a rising Brotherhood of Steel squire. Visitors “will come face-to-face with a young squire named Maximus and gaze in awe at his T-60 armor,” one of the franchise’s most iconic visuals.

In classic Horror Nights fashion, the storyline is laced with an ominous mystery. As guests make their way through the twisted remains of humanity, they’ll uncover a dark secret hiding beneath the wasteland’s surface.
Fallout joins an already packed lineup for Halloween Horror Nights 2025, which will blend familiar franchises with original nightmares. Tickets are now available for both Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood, including single-night admission, multi-night passes, and RIP tour experiences.
