Fan-favorite Disney Show to Close Soon

Going to the Disney Parks is an experience to write home about. Whether that’s going to the Walt Disney World Resort or the Disneyland Resort, there’s much on offer for Guests to enjoy. Be it at a Disney Park like Magic Kingdom Park or Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park at the former or Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park at the latter—each Theme Park has many rides and attractions like Space Mountain or Jungle Cruise that fans can enjoy the Disney experience at.

Of all of these offerings, undoubtedly, one of the best ones has to be “Fantasmic!” The nighttime show is live at many Disney Theme Parks, including Disneyland in Anaheim, California, Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Central Florida, and Tokyo DisneySea in Japan. The show, which follows the “forces of good and evil [as they] battle it out in Mickey’s dream during this extravagant open-air nighttime musical,” showcases a combination of live actors, Disney characters, fireworks, music, water effects, and animatronics to create a spectacular and immersive experience.

However, now we have confirmation that “Fantasmic!” will be facing a short closure coming up soon for maintenance. In an email, Disney confirmed that “Fantasmic!” would be closed on May 1 and May 2. The email clarified that Disney would still honor the “Fantasmic!” dining package for the evening.

Closures are certainly one of the least favorites part of a Disney vacation, even though every Disney Fanatic is well aware of the need to temporarily close down attractions to ensure they are providing the best quality (and, in the case of rides, the highest standards of safety).

While it’s only a two-day closure, we’ll be glad to see “Fantasmic!” back after its temporary closure.
