The beloved show ‘Fantasmic!’ officially opened to the public last night, November 3, and the crowds were back in full force to celebrate its return.
Fans of Walt Disney World Resort and its Theme Parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, have had much reason to celebrate. Theme Park Disney’s Hollywood Studios is once again home to the eagerly awaited “Fantasmic!” After a two-year-long hiatus, the show has returned to the Walt Disney World Resort to the delight of Disney Park fans. The show has been in the news a lot lately, getting rave reviews from Cast Members who got an early preview of the show.

The Central Florida Disney Resort first shut down in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and with it, “Fantasmic!” was not seen at the Amphitheater for two years. Disney World has been teasing the comeback of the show for months now, and eventually finally gave us a November reopening date, and show times, in October.
On November 3, “Fantasmic!” had its comeback, and how! Fans gathered in droves to see it; Disney Guest @DisneyDude_71 shared a photo on Twitter of the crowds.

Reportedly, even before the official lineup time for the show, Guests were clamoring for their spot. Disney World Cast Members were said to be turning Guests away from the entrance to the performance area and discouraging line-forming some 10 hours before show time. A tweet from Theme Park Express (@ThemeParkExpress) said:

Guests in the comments noted that the Genie+ and Lightning Lane systems were not in place for a show as beloved as this one and that Disney should have, at the very least, offered a virtual queuing system.
From Twitter user @Mickey_Moonpie, “A virtual queue should have been set up. Since park hopping is at 2 so if you reserved today to go to the park, you may not get to see it. plus it’s gonna cause a big road block in the area.”
