For many Disney fans, a visit to either the Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort is an experience to cherish deeply. From the many attractions and rides, such as the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain, to the spectacular shows like “Fantasmic!” and opportunities for character interaction, such as meet ‘n’ greets, and unique experiences like Turtle Talk with Crush, all of these elements give Disney Guests an unforgettable Disney experience they treasure. However, a Disney vacation is also known to be incredibly expensive, which makes it the kind of trip fans have to plan extensively for.

Both the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort are two of the most popular Theme Park destinations in the world, which are owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company. Disneyland, which opened in 1955 in Anaheim, California, was the first Disney Park. Walt Disney World—which opened in 1971 in Orlando, Florida—is much larger than Disneyland and is home to four Theme Parks—Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom—as well as two water parks, several Resort hotels and more.
With all that a Disney vacation has to offer, it’s been known that some fans can do almost anything for a Walt Disney World vacation or Disneyland vacation. That’s exactly what Karen Eames—wife of the late sheriff’s deputy Isaac Eames—who pleaded guilty to stealing over $500,000 from the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office account, did.

Eames, 47, is the widow of the sheriff’s deputy Issac Eames. The deputy was involved in a tragic case last winter where he shot his wife and killed his son and then himself. Eames reportedly stole $529,165 from an Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office account that he oversaw between January 2020 and July 2021.
As reported by Syracuse.com, “District Attorney William Fitzpatrick said Tuesday that the couple used the money to live the “high life” by purchasing land, building a riverside house, taking trips to Disney, gambling and more.”
