On April 27, Walt Disney Studios released a new trailer for its upcoming straight-to-streaming movie Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers. While reactions focused on several areas of the new material, it appears a significant amount of focus turned to Peter Pan.
Far from the happy, youthful boy fans grew up with, it appears that Peter Pan has grown up into an old, angry man–and most likely the film’s antagonist.

The trailer itself shows Chip and Dale living life long after the end of their Disney Channel show Rescue Rangers when they are called on to solve a missing toons case and apparently find Peter Pan on the bad side, ready to take the chipmunks out if they take their investigation too far (and somehow the Coca Cola Polar Bear looks to be involved?).
It should be noted that Peter Pan appears to be the only one Toon that has noticeably aged which could suggest that there is something wrong with Peter. At this point, only time will tell what really happened to him since his last movie.
