Disney fans made their feelings clear about Tomorrowland and “Autopia” in a recent discussion about attractions they want to see replaced.
The Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort are known to be some of the best places in the world to experience the Disney magic and have that perfect Disney vacation. Any Disney Park at either Disney Resort: Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, or Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, offers many wonderful rides and attractions for Guests to enjoy; think “,” “it’s a ” among others.
But sometimes, some of these rides, attractions, and lands are hard misses with fans, or Guests outgrow them as is the case with Disneyland’s “Autopia” and Tomorrowland in the Disneyland Resort, Southern California.
Disney fan and Reddit user, u/analyzeTimes asked on Reddit,
If you had to pitch one new ride to Disney that fits thematically in one of the lands but requires that you demolish an existing ride, what would your pitch be?
The reigning winner for what needed to be gotten rid of across the board was the “Autopia” attraction.
U/PlasticBagPatrick said, ” Demolish Autopia (I know, the nostalgia, but also the pollution) and replace it with a smaller coaster that could maybe fit the theme or the future of travel. Demolish Star Tours (move it to Galaxyās Edge where it belongs) and add literally anything new to Tomorrowland.”
U/pementomento chimed in, “Autopia needs to go. Gas cars are so yesterland!”
U/fflar14 didn’t hold back either.
Yeah this is the obvious answer. Get rid of all of the garbage in Tomorrowland right now (Autopia, Nemo, etc.) and just add new stuff.
Guests particularly called out the large levels of pollution from “Autopia” and mentioned how it was high time Disney upgraded it to be “E-topia” to fit with the Tomorrowland theme.
At the same time, Guests were incredibly excited at the prospect of a Wall-EĀ based attraction or even aĀ Lilo and StitchĀ based attraction.
Versions of the “Autopia” attraction currently also exist internationally at , , .
We at Disney Fanatic will continue to report on all Disney news as it comes to light.
