The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is beginning tomorrow, and with it, Beacons of Magic is going to be lit up in a unique way!
EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts this year runs from January 13, 2023, through February 20, 2023. The festival is designed to be an event where Guests can celebrate art and cuisine. As many Disney fans know, the festival debuted in 2017, celebrating three artistic disciplines: Culinary Arts, Visual Arts, and Performing Arts.
Disney has already confirmed much news that has fans looking forward to this year’s festival in general. For example, we know that the Figment Popcorn buckets will also return this year. But it appears that the beloved dinosaur will be featured in one more Disney attraction.
Theme Park journalist Brooke Geiger McDonald shared,
On Jan. 13, a new Beacon of Magic celebrating Figment will debut on Spaceship Earth for the 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. “This technicolor tribute features music that is bound to spark your imagination, along with a spectacle of dazzling light.” #disneyworld

Geiger-McDonald also clarified in a second tweet that while the segment is new, “it WILL include ‘Rainbow Connection'”—last year’s Muppets-themed show.
Many fans will undoubtedly be thrilled to welcome Figment to the Beacon of Magic at EPCOT in this way, considering EPCOT’s Journey Into Imagination with Figment—its attraction featuring the purple dinosaur—is one of the Theme Park’s most beloved ones.
EPCOT is one of four Theme Parks that Guests can enjoy at the Walt Disney World Resort. Others include the famous Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Each Disney Park offers Guests myriad ways to enjoy the attractions and rides on offer—from Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom Park to the Tower of Terror in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
