Old Video Demonstrates Why Goofy Should Be Renamed “Goofinder Singh”

In an example of this inclusivity that we know and love, an old video that previously went viral and has resurfaced online and has reminded fans not only of the diversity we can expect from Disney but also the sheer joy of enjoying different cultures at the Disney Parks.

In the video, we see the Disney character Goofy, during a Disney parade, busting a move in the style of the Indian dance form of Bhangra.

In fact, “An enthusiastic Goofy was seen leading a band of Punjabi bhangra musicians on a stage at Disneyland, Paris, France.”

The costumes for the musicians are from another Indian state, Rajasthan, making the entire performance truly embody the sentiment of “fusion.”

This was something many in the comments noted as well. One wrote, “Goofy + Punjabi dhol + rajasthani costume 😂❤️ what a fusion ✨.”

Another agreed, “It’s Awesome… mix of everything… cartoon characters +punjabi folk + Rajasthani costumes.”

Others commented in local Indian languages, writing, “ETHO PTA LAGDA HAI PUNJAB DI CHARHAI HAI🔥.”
