Tens of thousands of people visit a Disney Park every single day of the year. During certain times of the year, like holidays and the summer, the Parks can be more crowded than ever. Every ride and attraction is running from early in the morning until late at night. That means that the rides experience a lot of wear and tear and need to be refurbished several times a year. Sometimes, despite Disney trying to stay on top of all the rides and attractions and keep them in tip-top shape, Guests may experience breakdowns while riding or waiting to ride an attraction.
Recently, Guests riding the iconic Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland Resort experienced the ride breaking down while they were on it. Disney Cast Members try to get rides up and moving as quickly as possible, but sometimes that is not possible. If Cast Members can’t get the ride working again, then they must evacuate Guests and close the ride.
When Pirates broke down this time, Cast Members couldn’t get it up and running, so those working on the ride were forced to put on waders and walk through the water to help evacuate Guests. That can take some time, and it seems that one Guest had enough of waiting.
A video is going viral on TikTok showing a man walking through the Pirates of the Caribbean water with a baby in his hands. There is music laid over the clip, but it appears that a Cast Member is trying to get his attention and telling him to stay in the boat. He actively ignores her and walks through the water to another boat, where a woman is standing, holding a younger child.

The creator did not follow up, so we don’t know what happened, why the man got off the boat, or what happened once he was spoken to by Cast Members. Many commenters have been asking the original poster for a “story time” video, so they can explain. Others supported the man, claiming that they wouldn’t want to wait either after paying so much to get into the Parks.
During ride breakdowns, Guests are required to stay in their ride vehicles until they are escorted off by a Cast Member. Failure to listen to Cast Members or putting yourself or other Guests in danger may result in a Guest being asked to leave the Park.
