The Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort are two of the most magical places in the world for a Disney vacation. Any Theme Park—be that Magic Kingdom Park or Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park at Walt Disney World, or Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park at Disneyland—at both Disney Resorts is a wonderful place to take in the Disney magic and have the quintessential Disney experience. From rides and attractions like Space Mountain and Jungle Cruise to shows like “Fantasmic!” there’s a lot to enjoy.
One of the most important things to remember about going to a Disney Park is that you’re not the only visitors to the Theme Park. While it might sound like a strange thing to either open an article with or even remind any Disney Fanatic of, it appears sometimes Guests occasionally behave in ways that are not acceptable in the Disney Parks.
Hyperspace Mountain
One of the most popular rides and attractions at Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort is Space Mountain. Currently, the attraction has been rethemed to Hyperspace Mountain at Disneyland—“Hurtle through hyperspace while dodging furious dogfights during this high-speed Star Wars adventure—May 1 to June 4, 2023.”
Per Disneyland’s website, Guests can “Fend off cross fire from swarms of New Republic X-wing starfighters and Imperial TIE fighters amidst a galactic onslaught!”
Riding Hyperspace Mountain and enjoying the attraction during a Disney Park visit is definitely one of the highlights of a Disney vacation. But recently, one family’s Space Mountain visit invited more than simple enjoyment. A Guest took to TikTok to share a family that decided to take matters into their own hands when Space Mountain broke down recently. A man decided he was going to climb out of the vehicle himself and grabbed his family and young children with him (something that is certainly not allowed).

Fellow fans in the comments were shocked at the man’s behavior and all agreed upon how dangerous this was. One shared, “um,this is how you end up with tragic Disney stories.”
Another chimed in, “And this is how you get a lifetime ban from Disney.”
A third fan provided more information on how Cast Members and Disney security would have dealt with the situation, “I KNOW security was waiting by the emergency exit for them bc it leads right next to the security station backstage 💅🏻.” The OP responded to this comment, letting them know their supposition was correct.
It goes without saying that while it’s certainly unfortunate when rides break down at Disney, it’s important to wait for Cast Members to come and provide instructions on how to safely exit the attraction. While it’s understandable to become impatient, this kind fo behavior endangers you and your fellow Guests as well.
