When you visit a Disney theme park, the day is truly a magical one. You can venture to far-off lands, meet some of your favorite Disney characters, eat wonderful food, and watch incredible parades and nighttime spectaculars. No matter how many times you visit a Disney Park, each and every trip is different and special in its own way. Admittedly, some trips are more memorable than others, and for Guests visiting Disneyland Resort recently, the trip was memorable for a very interesting reason.
TikToker Justin (@justnjames) and his party were riding the popular Disneyland Park attraction Pirates of the Caribbean. They got through the entire ride and were sitting in their boat in the line to disembark. It was then that they noticed their boat was beginning to sink. Justin filmed water coming into the boat. According to Justin, the fire department had to be called, and they brought in a ramp to help the Guests get off the boat. After an hour, the Guests were finally able to escape the boats.
It was a hot mess. Honestly thought we were gonna swim our way out of this #disneyland #brokenride #piratesofthecaribbean #dca #anaheim #fyp

While many of the commenters were surprised at seeing the fire department come in, they were even more shocked that Justin would put his hands in the water and touch it. Who knows what is in there?
What is unclear is why Disney Cast Members were unable to move the boats forward. As we have seen in the past — with other Disney attractions and with Pirates of the Caribbean in particular — is that Cast Members put on waders and physically move the boats. However, it does not look like they were able to do that this time. The boat that Justin was in was very close to the ride’s exit.
Some asked Justin if Disney gave the Guests anything for the trouble they went through. Justin said that they were given a voucher to buy some new socks and some Lightning Lane passes. Thankfully, the attraction was quickly fixed and everything is up and operating normally.
