Walt Disney World Guests shared that they were locking up some of their belongings during their Park to be cautious and guard against theft.

The Walt Disney World Resort is home to four magical Theme Parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Each Disney Park has different attractions for Guests seeking thrill rides, family-fun rides, or for those who want to watch all the various shows.

Since Walt Disney World visits can be pretty long, Guests often frequent the Parks with many personal items. This is unsurprising. To be noted is that Disney does maintain a policy about what Guests can and can’t bring into the Parks. For example, guests coming to Disney World are allowed to bring backpacks. Guests with small children may bring a stroller or baby carrier.

While at a Disney Park, Guests using a stroller should know per Disney’s Stroller policy, Guests are not to leave personal belongings in an unattended stroller. Additionally, if strollers are left alone, Cast Members may move them due to operational needs.

And while the Disney Parks are known to be places of magic and wonder, untoward incidents do occur—whether that’s finding illegal paraphernalia or theft.

One Disney Park Guest shared their method of making sure their stroller was not stolen:

The video depicts a stroller parked unattended using a bike lock, thereby protecting it from being taken and preventing someone from walking off with it. Of note here is that while Disney’s stroller policy does not prohibit this kind of safekeeping, it might hamper Cast Members from doing their job when they need to move a Guests’ stroller.

In the comments, fellow Guests and fans shared their own stories of strollers being stolen; they approved of the idea. @javicavi5 even shared, “Someone took our stroller in Disneyland last summer. We found it Fantasyland luckily and stole it back.”

While these incidents are rare, it’s important to be vigilant of your surroundings and be mindful of allowing Cast Members to do their jobs as needed.

We at Disney Fanatic will continue to report on all Disney news as it comes to light.
