The Walt Disney World Resort is certainly “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” so much so that it’s not only humans who like to frequent the Disney Resort. Over the years, many Guests have spotted various kinds of animals at many a Disney Park at the Central Florida Disney Resort—unsurprising considering that Walt Disney World is built on a swamp and which is home to different kinds of animals, including but not limited to snakes, rodents, alligators and more.
However, in the latest list of animal spotting, a Guest took to Reddit to share that they saw a wild bear roaming around the Disney Resort. Reddit user and Disney Guest u/bucketboy12 took to the social media platform to share a simple, straightforward warning,
Just spotted a black bear running around the bridge that connects S&D to the Boardwalk. Be careful out there! 🐻
While Guests took the opportunity to react humorously to the incident, some shared that the bear was just covering for everyone’s favorite honey bear, Pooh, and others asked if it was Baloo from The Jungle Book. One Guest questioned whether it was the same bear that was spotted at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort a few days ago. While it’s not uncommon for bears to be attracted to the campgrounds considering the smell of trash and food, it’s a little more surprising to see the bear wandering around the EPCOT Resort area.
The Guest reported they told Cast Members about the bear and that it was “caught and relocated safely!” While this kind of incident can be scary, it’s essential to stay as calm as possible and alert Cast Members immediately so that they can resolve the issue and maintain a safe and secure environment for Guests and animals alike.
