Guests Upset Over Cancellation of Disney Halloween Parade

disney halloween parade cancellation

Some Guests and fans were upset with a Disney Park at the cancellation of a Halloween parade during Oogie Boogie Bash.

There’s nothing quite like the holiday season at a Walt Disney Theme Park. Be it during the spooky season during Halloween with Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, the upcoming Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and the general festivities that come up every year, there’s nowhere quite in the world that does the holidays the way a Disney Park does, be that EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, in the Walt Disney World Resort or Disney’s Animal Kingdom or the Disneyland Resort in Southern California.

The Disney experience of the holiday season is renowned, and so when something changes or doesn’t happen as it usually does, Guests notice.

This time, a Halloween parade was canceled during Oogie Boogie Bash in Disneyland Resort, and Disney Guest and Reddit user u/ChickenFriedRiceee took to the social media platform to check in if anyone had any more information.

Anyone know why the oogie boogie parade got canceled tonight (10/9)? from Disneyland

As the OP shared, “Headless horseman went back then after ten minutes of nothing they canceled it? Just curious what happened must have been serious.”

Other Parks visitors who were present at the Theme Park on October 9 around the same time shared their perspectives in the comments. U/Dannycheeze noted:

I was at the top of the parade and it looked liked the float was malfunctioning

Yet other users clarified that the earlier 7:45 p.m. parade showing occurred but was delayed. U/arudegala added, “Yes as others have said they attempted to do it three times! Each time the music started and then abruptly stopped. All performances of Mickey’s Trick and Treat Show were also canceled. A huge bummer, we were really looking forward to both.”

It appears, the parade was not the only event that was experiencing bad luck that night. Along with all performances of Mickey’s Trick and Treat show being canceled, so was at least one performance of Fantasmic.

We at Disney Fanatic will keep readers updated on all Disneyland Resort and Disney World news as it comes to light.
