A guest recently asked fellow fans if they also suffered from what she termed “Disney guilt” after being questioned once again about Disney World.

Disney fans and guests can all attest to the incredibly magical and incredible experience a Disney vacation provides to people of all generations from around the world. The allure of a Disney theme park visit is unparalleled. Whether it’s Magic Kingdom Park in Central Florida or a theme park in the Southern California Disney Resort, Disney is known to provide a remarkable and unforgettable adventure for every guest.

Whether you find yourself immersed in the otherworldly beauty of Pandora in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park or delighting in classic Disney Parks rides such as the Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise, the sense of wonder ensures a truly immersive and magical escape for all.

In fact, many of us would agree that the charm and magic of Disney extends beyond just attractions; it encompasses a whole realm of experiences that caters to every age group and interest for anyone seeking a break from reality.

However, not everyone necessarily sees eye to eye with those who enjoy these Disney escapades, and a fan recently explained how they often experience “Disney guilt” on their Walt Disney World vacation.

The guest explained, “Does anyone else experience disney guilt on their trips? I go numerous times per year and I’m always questioned by my friends and family why I go so often …. And they’re also shocked that I go alone. I often hear ‘don’t you want to go to Europe?’ ‘aren’t you sick of it?’ ‘haven’t you seen it all?’ All these questions start to make me doubt myself and wonder if there’s something wrong with me.”

As it turned out, the OP was far from the only person who had experienced exactly this phenomenon. Other guests chimed in with their own anecdotes of similar experiences.

One wrote, “YES!! This absolutely! I’ve gone many times since 2021. We thought it would be a one and done trip with my 4 year old and then we would vacation elsewhere, didn’t expect to like it much but figured she’d have fun. I hadn’t been since I was a teenager and my husband hadn’t been since he was a kid.”

The commenter went on to explain that she and her husband had a blast and since then, she had done “girls trips, adult only trips and family trips. Haven’t traveled anywhere else.” She continued that “I do get embarrassed when people ask where I’m going. We just have such a nice time there and it’s hard to describe.”

Of course, there were other comments that cut through the issue and were pragmatic in their approach. One fellow fan said, “When they start financing your vacations they can have a say in where you go.”

The sentiment was appreciated by many Redditors and Disney fans.

Ultimately, if you’re a Disney adult who has a love for all things Disney and the parks are where you want to go, then that’s your decision, and nobody should be able to make you feel bad about it!
