A husband was called out by Disney fans for his jealous and “awful” behavior regarding his wife’s upcoming Disney World vacation.
Going to the Walt Disney World Resort is known to be one of the most magical experiences you can have, particularly if you’re a Disney fan. However, while this is the case, in recent years, a Disney vacation has become notably expensive. Many have expressed their frustration with the increase in theme park prices, be it with ticket prices, food prices, or even hotel costs.
The cost of a Disney vacation has started increasing to over $10,000—leaving many to question whether these prices are truly for the average American, a value that the founder of the company, Walt Disney, held most dear.

Wife Shares “Awful” Behavior From Husband Regarding Disney World Trip
Recently, a woman shared a rather frustrating account of how her husband responded to her upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort. Here’s the story.
A Disney World guest and Reddit user shared her tale in an AITA subreddit. She explained, “My sister and mother planned a “girls trip” DW vacation for them, myself, and my daughter (8). My sister and mother are paying for everything. My husband was not included in their plans (neither of the other husbands will be attending).”
The guest explained that her husband had previously expressed that he did not enjoy the Disney experience, that he would not be able to get off work, that their family couldn’t afford it, and that he wouldn’t enjoy it and would ruin the trip for everyone else anyway. Given this reality, the wife decided to go ahead with the trip with her mother and sister, especially considering she hadn’t been on a plane in 20 years, and their daughter hadn’t ever been on one.

The OP went on to explain that when she first happily accepted the invite, she and her husband got into a huge fight, so much so that her mom eventually offered to pay for her husband so that he could join for a day. However, her husband declined.
The wife included, “The trip is next week and I’m feeling very guilty because I was getting excited/planning outfits, packing, and whatnot. He asked me to not even talk about it so he can pretend it’s not happening.”

Is the Wife in the Wrong?
Every fan in the comments agreed that the wife was NTA in this situation.

Another fan shared, “Some men just can’t cope without their significant other around. I have a friend who’s husband is like that. It’s like they need a mommy. That’s very generous of your mom to make that offer to him but I think he’d make everyone miserable if he went and you would still be feeling guilty trying to make him happy. Go and have fun but expect a petulant husband when you get home. Sigh. NTA.”
Some guests completely slammed the husband, positing that he was trying to isolate the wife from her family. One said, “And possibly he is one of those real assholes who is all ‘If I cannot enjoy it, then I don’t want you to, either.’ He not a good husband. My husband likes when I can enjoy something, and I feel the same. OP, your husband is awful in this aspect and should be ashamed of himself. Go and have fun, because he really cannot justify his anger without admitting he is angry you will enjoy something he will not. NTA.”
