“I Better Consider Whether It’s Worth It”: Disney Adults Speak on the Disney Experience

There’s nothing quite like going to a Disney Park. Whether it’s one like Magic Kingdom Park in Walt Disney World Resort or it’s Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park in Disneyland Resort, Disney fans from all over the world all grasp at the chance to enjoy the Disney experience for themselves. But it’s no secret that in recent years, the value of what the Walt Disney Company provides through its Parks has been under question. But every time the question has been raised, hundreds and thousands of loyal fans have spoken up for the Mouse House and in defense of a Disney vacation, and recently some Disney adults took to sharing what about that famous Disney experience keeps them coming back.

Recently, Walt Disney World fan and Guest u/IAmNotYourMouse took to Reddit to ask, “What Keeps Bringing Us Back?…despite things like EPCOT drunks and long wait times. It’s gotta be something to do with Disney’s bubble, right? Help me out here.”

And per many of the other Disney adults in the thread, that is what the Disney experience came down to. u/Jenouflex added to that, “We’ve had so many amazing interactions with the cast members and other guests that our memories are really a haze of positivity.” ß

In fact, the Disney magic and Disney experience are so well known and celebrated that even previous “non-believers” (a term apt fot Disney Fanatics considering one fan in the Reddit thread called Disney a “religious experience”) can join in the Disney fold:

Another fan shared, “It’s just fun honestly. Love the smells, love the rides, love the food. Why wouldn’t I want to go back to a place like that?”

And truly, perhaps when it boils down to it, that’s what it comes down to. The nostalgia and that wonderful Disney magic. Some fans even took to reflect on the discussion they were having, and that resulted in some notable insights as well.

On the subject of this analysis and discussion, one fan opined,

“Disney is super expensive. I better at least consider what I’m getting for all that money so I can decide whether it’s worth it. You must make that determination as well, although probably on a more subconscious level, because I doubt you spend all your money and time at Disney.”

Whatever the answer is, there’s certainly something to it, considering the Walt Disney Company is celebrating its centennial this year, and the celebrations are already looking worthy of Disney’s legacy.
