Many California residents will recognize reality TV star Heather Dubrow from the reality shows Botched and Real Housewives of Orange County, but Disney fans might recognize the actress and television personality from a Disneyland Park stage show!

In a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, the mother of four revealed that (aside from several TV roles) some of her pre-reality show work involved an unexpected avenue: Disneyland Resort!

The Reality TV Star’s Scandalous ‘Disney’ Reality

Dubrow apparently played the role of Miss Lily in the extinct Frontierland show that was called the Golden Horseshoe Jamboree. Since the show featured a saloon focus, some suggestive content might have been expected – but according to her interview with Andy Cohen, the television personality known as “Fancy Pants” went overboard!

According to the D23 website, the Golden Horseshoe Revue was a “Frontierland show at Disneyland” that “opened on July 17, 1955 and was the longest-running show ever when it ended on October 12, 1986.”

A follow-up show entitled the Golden Horseshoe Jamboree (which was apparently the show that Dubrow starred in) “opened on November 1, 1986, and closed on December 18, 1994.”

Since “the new show featured talented singers and dancers including those portraying Lily Langtree and Sam, the owner of the saloon” (with a can-can dance number included), it sounds like this was the Lily that Real Housewives star Heather Dubrow portrayed.

Too Sexy for a Saloon?

During Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Dubrow laughingly admitted that Disneyland management had taken her aside and told her to tone the sex down in her performances. She also added that she had indeed been “Miss Lily” and that she had to wear a “big blonde wig” for the role.

A clip of the character named “Miss Lily” in the Golden Horseshoe Jamboree can be seen below, although this version of Miss Lily is brunette instead of blonde!

Did you visit Disneyland and Frontierland when the Golden Horseshoe Revue or the Golden Horseshoe Jamboree was in its heyday? Do you think that Disneyland was being too strict when Disneyland management asked this actress to tone down her saloon girl character onstage?
