For a few years now, one piece of Disney magic has been under threat by an invading force: TikTok.
Turtle Talk with Crush
Turtle Talk with Crush is an attraction at both EPCOT at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort.
The show provided an interactive element brand new to Disney park guests. With a combination of improv acting and advances in AI technology, Walt Disney Imagineering created a bridge between the real world and the world of Pixar’s Finding Nemo.

Unfortunately, the onset of social media and openness to age groups has many, including this writer, thinking that this fun game is officially ruined.
Social Media Takes Hold
Turtle Talk with Crush has become famous across social media platforms for some of the awkward questions little kids tend to throw at the famous sea turtle.
The moments are captured by parents or other older members of the audience and have been enjoyed as adorable moments, a la “Kids Say the Darndest Things.” But is going viral becoming the overall goal?
In this case, once again, we see someone once again asking Crush about turtle soup because they thought it was funny, but it ends up only making it awkward for everybody. For the first time, Crush actually called out the guest, asking the question.

There is no official address by Disney Parks of the problem or solution. My best guess is that Cast Members will be forced to limit the Q&A session to the noticeably little kids sitting in the front rows.
Stop Asking About Turtle Soup
It used to be a pseudo-Parks Secret that if you tell Crush you like turtle soup, he would pretend to hide and make the kids laugh. But the scenario has apparently been so overplayed that even Crush can’t humor it anymore.
