Walt Disney World Resort is demolishing its beloved adults-only piano bar, Jellyrolls, just days after officially closing its doors.
After decades of providing an entertainment escape for adult guests at Disney’s BoardWalk, Jellyrolls played its final tune on April 19, 2025. The iconic dueling piano bar’s last night was one to remember, with crowds gathering to sing along to its final songs, including “Piano Man” and “My Life,” the latter being the first tune ever performed at Jellyrolls when it opened in 1996.
Now, just days after its closure, demolition has already begun. According to reports from WDWNT, Disney crews have started dismantling some of the signage. The iconic bright purple Jellyrolls sign has already had the letters “J,” “E,” and “L” removed, with guests spotting the letters on a golf cart nearby before Disney cast members drove them away. The “dueling piano bar” sign and Jellyrolls logo have also been removed from the side of the building, and metal posts and supports now stand in place of the signs.
Additionally, an “Awning Works” truck was seen outside the building as crews worked to remove the red awnings that once covered the windows. The entire area is now closed off, with green barriers blocking guest access to the space.
Jellyrolls has announced plans to relocate to a new location outside of Walt Disney World Resort, but has yet to provide details on the new venue. As of now, Disney has not confirmed a replacement for the piano bar’s original location at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn.
The closure of Jellyrolls marks a shift in the resort’s adults-only entertainment offerings, which seem to dwindle year after year. The Atlantic Dance Hall remains open for adult Disney’s BoardWalk guests, but with reduced hours.
