On January 2, Marvel actor Jeremy Renner — who has portrayed Hawkeye in a number of films and his own show — was involved in an incredibly frightening snow plow accident. According to reports, Renner was using a Snowcat to plow himself and his neighbors out of the snow, and the machine ended up running him over. The machine weighs more than 14,000 pounds, and Renner was airlifted to the hospital, where he was listed in “critical but stable” condition.

Since the accident, Renner has undergone multiple surgeries on his leg and was also treated for blunt chest trauma.

Thankfully, Mr. Renner is on the mend and was sent home from the hospital about two weeks after the accident. Renner’s family has been by his side the entire time, helping him as he tries to heal from his extensive injuries. And now, we are learning just how extensive his injuries are.

On January 21, Renner sent fans a message on social media, reassuring them that he would heal from the dozens of broken bones he had, revealing that the number is more than 30.

I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness. Much love and appreciation to you all. These 30 plus broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens

Renner’s Marvel Cinematic Universe costars have been sending him encouraging messages since the accident. After Renner revealed how many bones he had broken, Captain America star Chris Evans sent out a lighthearted tweet, asking if anyone had checked on the machine that ran over Renner.

That’s one tough mf’er. Has anyone even checked on the snowcat???

Sending so much love ❤️

At this time, it appears that Renner is undergoing a lot of physical therapy. We do not know how long it will be before the Marvel star is up and walking, and we don’t know how the injuries will affect him permanently. However, we are so glad to see and hear that he is on the mend, home with his family, and keeping a positive attitude.
